Kingpin Eye Repair

When the King Pin hole in a steering axle becomes elongated it is necessary to either repair or replace the axle. Replacement cost is from several hundred to over a thousand dollars and can take from ten days to two weeks.

With the Steering Axle Sleeving System, developed by the THE AXLE SURGEONS, the steering axle can be bored at the proper angle and press fitted with 4130 seamless aircraft steel tubing. If the bottom of the axle has been damaged by the thrust bearing it is face ground.
